About Suggest-url
Why We Start Under the Sink
Suggest-url is a kitchen remodeling contractor working in Riverside, California. We do the whole range of kitchen work, from swapping a faucet and a set of countertops to taking a kitchen down to the studs, but the thing people tend to remember about us is where the first visit begins. Before we talk about cabinet colors, we open the sink base, look at the valves and the supply lines, and unscrew the faucet aerator.
That habit came from the same callback happening over and over. A homeowner spends real money on a beautiful kitchen. A year later the pull down faucet sputters, the dark sink has a permanent gray film, the dishwasher is leaving spots on everything, and the ice maker has stopped filling. None of it was installed badly. It was chosen without anyone asking what the water in the house does, and in Riverside the water leaves scale.
How We Plan a Kitchen
Every kitchen starts with a look at what is already there: the age and material of the plumbing, how much room is in the sink base, where the shutoffs are, and what the old fixtures show about the water. A pre war home near Mount Rubidoux asks different questions than a 1990s tract house in Mission Grove, and we plan accordingly.
From there we talk through the choices where hard water matters most. Faucet cartridges and spray heads. Sink materials and how each one looks after a day of use. Whether filtration at the sink, a whole house softener, or nothing at all makes sense for your household. Countertop surfaces and the cleaners they tolerate. Dishwasher, refrigerator and hot water dispenser hookups that do not starve a fill valve.
Then the remodel itself runs in the usual order. Demolition, rough in for plumbing and electrical, inspection, cabinets, template, countertops and finish work. Where walls move, circuits are added or plumbing is relocated, the work is permitted through the City of Riverside, and homes in designated historic districts go through historic review before anything visible on the exterior changes.
What We Will Tell You
We will tell you when something does not need replacing. A countertop that only needs resealing, a faucet that only needs a new cartridge, a softener that would cost more than the problem it solves. The best kitchen for your house is the one that still works properly years from now.
